Capacity suggestions are general guidance. Check each product’s measurements and fit before ordering.

THE FIELD GUIDE / 01

A little space goes a long way.

Start with what you carry, then leave a little room for what the day brings. Capacity is only one part of a comfortable fit.

10–20 liters · Light days

For a short walk, a light commute or just the essentials: water, a layer, a snack and small personal items.

20–30 liters · Everyday & day hikes

A versatile starting point when you need extra layers, lunch, electronics or more supplies for a longer day outside.

30–45 liters · Short trips

More space for clothing and travel essentials. Airline cabin limits vary by carrier and fare; check the bag’s actual dimensions against your airline’s rules before traveling.

Fit before volume

Measure your torso from the prominent bone at the base of your neck to the top of your hip bones. Use the specific product’s fit chart. Try the pack with a realistic load; shoulder straps should sit comfortably without pinching. Check laptop dimensions separately from overall pack capacity.

These ranges are general guidance. Check each product page for dimensions, materials and intended use.

THE FIELD GUIDE / 02

Pack less. Go further.

Lay everything out before you leave. Remove duplicates and group small essentials so you can find them without emptying the whole bag.

Keep weight close

Place heavier items near your back and around the middle of the pack. Protect electronics in their dedicated compartment or a suitable sleeve. Avoid hard edges against the back panel.

Make the useful things accessible

Keep your water, travel documents, extra layer and small essentials within easy reach. Secure keys in a zipped pocket and double-check closures before leaving.

Balance the load

Keep both sides balanced and use compression straps if provided. Try the packed bag before setting out and adjust the shoulder straps to your body.

Check the conditions

A water-resistant fabric does not make a bag waterproof. Use an appropriate rain cover or dry bag when conditions call for extra protection.

THE FIELD GUIDE / 03

Keep your pack ready.

Always follow the care label supplied with your specific bag. Materials, coatings and leather details may require different care.

After each adventure

Empty every pocket, shake out dirt and gently brush away dried debris. Open the compartments and let moisture escape before storing.

Clean gently

For compatible fabrics, spot-clean with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap. Test a hidden area first. Avoid bleach, harsh solvents and abrasive brushes.

Air-dry completely

Keep the bag away from direct heat. Do not machine-wash or tumble-dry unless the care label explicitly allows it.

Store with room to breathe

Store the clean, dry bag in a ventilated place. Check zippers, buckles and straps before your next trip. Contact us if you need help with a specific product.
